Professor Gillian Griffiths
Professor Griffiths FmedSci FRS is a world renowned Immunologist dedicating her career to understanding the mechanisms of Cytotoxic T cell killing. Winner of the Royal Society’s 2019 buchanan medal, the first time it has ever been awarded to a female scientist, Professor Griffiths has been a strong leader for women in STEM. Previously she has headed the prestigious Cambridge Institute for Medical Research (CIMR) and is a senior Fellow at Kings College Cambridge. Professor Griffiths was elected a Fellow of the Royal society in 2013 and continues to publish many important works that impact on the way we think about Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes.
